I joined Mortgage Link Wairarapa in July 2001 after a 10 year Banking career. I was prompted to become a broker/adviser because I had the opportunity to focus completely on my clients needs putting their interests first, rather than my employers. Being an adviser also gives me the flexibility to continue my community volunteer work in the sporting and leisure clubs I represent and spend quality time with my 3 boys Jesse, Ethan and Quinn.

Working as a Mortgage Link Adviser has given me great job satisfaction because of the great team work and culture our office possesses and the client success stories we have been a part of. More specifically, I recently advised a couple who were experienced property investors but had never taken the correct advice on how to structure their borrowing and ownership entities of their properties. Through my initial advice the clients are now saving in excess of $6,000 p.a. Now that put a smile on their face!

We work incredibly well as a team at the Lansdowne Business Centre, where Mortgage Link is based. The Business Centre offers clients access to specialist advisers on Mortgages, Investments and Insurance with the back up of outstanding support staff.

Our main focus is superior needs based advice to clients backed up by exceptional service. We like the make the client experience a hassle free one and something to remember. It’s a great thrill when we receive repeat business and referrals from our clients.

Personally, I have qualifications in Mortgage Broking and Financial Planning and have received numerous industry awards namely:

• Finalist NZMBA Mortgage Broker of the Year 2005,2006 and 2007
• Winner NZMBA Central North Island Broker of the Year 2006
• Runner up NZMBA NZ Mortgage Broker of the Year 2006
• Mortgage Link NZ Individual of the Year 2007

These awards however do not come without having a great team around me, something my clients and financial intermediaries really notice and appreciate.

I have lived in the Wairarapa most of my life and enjoy all that the region offers. I am an avid sportsperson, have represented Wairarapa in rugby and cricket but nowadays you’ll most likely find me supporting or coaching my children………somewhere on the sports fields of the Wairarapa!!
