Mortgage Link Manawatu

I joined Mortgage Link Manawatu in July 2007 after working in the banking/financial sector for over 10 years. During this time I worked for BNZ and Westpac specializing in home lending. I also lived in the UK for 6 years and worked for 2 major investment banks in London. In 2010 I became a co-owner and Director in Mortgage Link Manawatu.

What interested me in becoming an adviser was the fact I can provide multiple home loan solutions for my customers ensuring that I can offer a home loan best suited for their needs. I enjoy meeting new people and work directly with them to achieve their financial goals. I have extensive lending experience on residential and investment home loans and also various loan structures.

With access to over 12 different lenders, I am able to help my clients in a way a normal bank lender cannot. Just recently, I had a client who had been declined by a mainstream lender due to the fact they didn’t get a “tick in all the boxes”, I was able to place them with a comparable product with a competitive rate, allowing them to move into the house of their dreams. As part of the service I also passed them onto our in-house insurance broker to ensure they had adequate cover to protect themselves and their family.

At the 2008 Mortgage Link New Zealand conference I won the “Rookie of the Year” award, recognising the best new Broker for the 2008 year. In 2009 and 2010 I was nominated for the “Individual of the Year” award with Mortgage Link New Zealand.

From the years 2007-2010 I was a member of the New Zealand Mortgage Brokers Association (NZMBA) and in 2010 was a finalist for the NZMBA broker of the year award.

I have lived in the Manawatu region for over 20 years and my interests include playing golf and coaching my son’s football team.
