After more than 20 years in the banking industry, five as a Lending Manager, I joined the Mortgage Link Manawatu team in 2000 as an Advisor. 

Lending has always been a passion and I saw the move to broking as a way to assist more people into their homes, as our service offers a wider range of products and lenders to clients. Joining Mortgage Link Manawatu was an easy decision! As well as the company being in operation for over 20 years, it is Mortgage Link’s high profile and professionalism that facilitated my decision to become part of the team. 

Helping first home buyers through the lending process is particularly satisfying. This can be a very stressful time for them, so I keep clients fully informed throughout the process to alleviate any stress. A bond is often formed and as a result, clients are comfortable to refer their friends or colleagues to me. 

I joined the New Zealand Mortgage Brokers Association to ensure that my clients know they are dealing with an Advisor who is committed to promoting the industry’s professionalism through regulation and agreed standards and ethics. 

I was nominated as a regional finalist in the NZMBA’s Broker of the Year awards for the Manawatu-Taranaki region in 2002, 2003 and 2004 and I won the award of ‘Individual Broker of the Year - 2009’ for Mortgage Link NZ.

Lenders provide on-going product knowledge training, and together with the courses offered by the NZMBA, this ensures we are kept up to date with the latest products and policy changes. 

Mortgage Link Manawatu has been a top producing office for the Mortgage Link Group for the last eleven years, and I am proud to be associated with a winning team!
