Mortgage Link Taupo

I was motivated to become a mortgage broker soon after my wife Wendy had employed and trained a new staff member to run the office while she was on maternity leave!  Unfortunately for the business (only at the time!) the new staff member was offered a financially better position; but fortunately I’d had some previous lending experience through assisting Wendy in her previous role as a Finance Manager. 

I was also motivated to take on the role due to not having the time to train someone else as our baby was due in a few weeks. Together we were able to continue operating the business, rather than have the doors close to what had begun to gather momentum with client referrals. 

Prior to becoming a mortgage broker in 1996 I was employed full-time as a builders’ labourer while I was also establishing my own security alarm sales and installations business. I still manage the security business and run it as a sideline, to enable me to continue offering service to customers upon request.

I enjoy being my own boss and I get great satisfaction assisting other people to achieve their goals. This includes offering tremendous customer care and recommendations to and for professional's advice if and when required to complete any transactions.

I enjoy golf, boating, fishing, camping and resort holidays, socialising, spending time with my family, and personal property development.
